Mr. Larry Dean Beaver was born April 16,1959 to Carl Lee Beaver and Hattie
Chitwood Beaver. A graduate of Lincolnton High School, he pursued and
developed his talent as a graphic artist on his own. Nationally, he did
graphics for Bill Elliott Racing and the Marshall Tucker Band, to name a
few. Many local businesses display his work to this day. He was regarded
as an honest, straightforward businessman who put a great deal of thought in
everything he did, especially his family. Family time was extremely
important. Shortly after his marriage to Michelle, Larry became interested
in racing to spend more time with his brother Michael. Larry drove while
Michael was his crew chief. He quickly rose from enduro dirt track cars to
asphalt late model stock - racing in Concord, Hickory, Tri-county and
Myrtle Beach. He raced against Dale Earnhardt Jr. and was close friends
with drivers such as Bobby Labonte. There came a time when his daughters
Whitney and Chelsea started developing their own interest and he decided to
put aside racing. There are numerous family memories spent boating, jet
skiing, snow skiing, dance competitions,

basketball tournaments and lastly cruising the Caribbean.

Larry died May 7, 2008. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hattie
Chitwood Beaver and his brother, Michael Lee Beaver.

Before his death, actually seven weeks before, he accepted Jesus Christ as
his Lord and Savior, and he was baptized that Easter Sunday. Praise God!!!
